Filming for our project

We have filmed another part of our film it is the beginning part we needed and have also successfully edited it into our project and gives it music video a dream feel which is what we wanted. All that needs to be filmed now is the final time lapse which is in a car and should only take roughly an hour and a half so it will look like the women is travailing in her dream.

Tiling transitions

we have put tiles in our film by this i mean that while editing we have put an effect on an image so it will have almost as its called a tile look it makes the video look really upbeat and we have used them in some areas to match the beat of the song which they do really well however our teacher feels their are to many of them and not enough of the girl although we have rectified this problem in the editing process.

overview of the week

We have edited at least half of the Video now however we still need to film a few pieces to go into the final parts of the music video, also tommy has talked about re-shooting parts of the shots at the club scene as the brightness of the shots are different and have come out better in others however we sorted this out by adjusting the brightness levels on final cut.

What we did today

we have started editing our music video we still need to film a few tiny pieces more to get a full video but i think we should be done within two weeks which is good as we beat the deadline for our music video just need to get our blogs updated.

what we did in lesson

We made a mood bored that expressed our artist's tastes it also shows the type of things we think we should put in our music videos, such as clubs and london monuments we can do time lapses on.

What i did in lessons

Today we looked at digi packs and had a look at the codes and conventions of a C.D cover we also looked at hype williams a famous music video director we have been asked to do a presentation of a director.

What we did in lesson

This week we have learnt about Modonna in a case study which taught us about phases artists go through also another thing we have learnt is about, is a theory from two german/Jews called Adorno and Horkheimer which talked about the culture industry and standerdiation a psuedo individuality also we have learnt about the codes and conventions of music videos. And last week we learnt about an independent music company that changed music labels and how artists would get signed.

First journal post reflecting on AS

I feel i have learnt many things from AS media for instance things such as how to edit and that planning a shoot is vital as well as how research can help and influence your project and to do more when research when you need to as it is vital. I am very happy with project however i would have done many things differently more planning on the shoot and also more research when i should have been doing it to help more with the project although i did enjoy the project for the second year of media (A2) i will be focussing more on the research and planning side of the course so things like the shoot will beneft more this time instead of being as hectic as last time.
